Brooklyn brownsville +Officer Down+

Brooklyn +Officer Down+ Rockway & Dumont 73 Pct. officer was shot, multiple shots fired, 10-13 req. officer is being taken to Brookdale Hospital and his partner to Jamaica Hospital, req. multiple BLS units to stand by. All units to location of the shooting Livonia and Powel. multiple streets being closed in the area. A Gold Ford Contour fled the scene, perp was wearing white jacket and white doo rags, perp reported to be shot in the shoulder, and has a black handgun. A level 3 mobilization is being called in regards. ESU/K9/Aviation and all special units responding.

Viper units out at location with video of the perp in the auto. perp is observed firing shots and being shot. Auto has been located at Mother Gaston Blvd. and Belmont Ave.

NYPD have the perp in custoody at 131 Belmont St. Apt 16-C has been apprehended and will be brought down to street level, EMS requested on a rush to location.

Officer out of surgery in stable condition cop was shot three times but vest saved him . injured perp being escorted to Brookdale Hospital.
