NYPD Interfering With The Work Of Hatzolah Volunteer Ambulance.

NYPD Interfering With The Work Of Hatzolah.
While upstate emergency workers from the FD to PD all do the outmost to improve relationships with Hatzolah, down in the city it's the contrary. An officer of the 90th Precinct - and not for the first time - pulled over a Hatzolah member while rushing to the scene of an emergency, the member hade his light's and his siren on and told the officer that he is running to an emergency, but apparently that didn't matter, and the officer stopped him from pursuing to the scene and took from him all paper work plus his Hatzolah identification card.

hatzala in willamsburg and BP are known as the biggest buffs and system abusers.

Just stand at the corner Hooper and Lee and when you see a member using his siren or air horn to move trafic, knock on his window and tell him he is abusing the system!

The police is correct! In the catskills they made some order after much worse abuses, now they have strict coordinators who enforce the law with their members (while the coordinators in Willi and BP have 0 control over their members.)

In the country, they were forced to be strict, because otherwise the locals would not have let them operate. In the City, they are so well politically connected that they are not afraid of doing things by the book.

It is also well known that many members when it came time to recertifying their EMT certificates, failed the tests on a number of occassions, but the company administering it were forced to aprrove them anyway.

It is also well known, that although there aren't enough units to respond to calls, Hatzolah still doesn't admit units, and on the rare occassion that they do, its only because of connections.

It is a shame that Hatzolah has become a boys club for those that are connected, and that has little to do with the quality of the service its consumers receive and expect.

Yes, while Hatzolah does save many lives, and Im not criticizing their work, they do need to clean up their act, before G-D forbid something serious happens.

Although some H members may abuse their Lights/Siren, their patient care is top notch. Don't be so soar about not becoming a member to the point that you are making/spreading lies.

Come on 13th Avenue and see how ladies driving cars with VAS plates and Hatzolah ID's in the window double park to do shopping. Are you telling me they are responding to a call

When one person in an organization does something wrong the whole organization will suffer

Unless someone in Hatzolah starts cleaning up, one day something will happen, and they will be shut for good.

Just because their patient care is top notch, that does not justify the abuse. Part of the reason the care is so good, is perception. When a frum person shows up, when one has an emergency they already feel good.

Its not necessarily really true patient care. Yes Id rather have a Yoily that knows nothing show up than a shvartze, but that is still no excuse.

I am sure there were many mistakes made by hatzolah members when treating a patient, that had they been EMS, they wouldv'e gotten sued.

hatzolah are bunch of a**hole jew who have nothing better to do then abuse the system and get away with it. For ex. I read in the paper two weeks ago that a member was yelling and screaming outside a home because FDNY EMS was there and treating the person first. Stop being bunch of baby and get a life
