Floating Island Around Manhattan Island
A 30-foot-by-90-foot flat barge covered with soil, trees, shrubs and rocks, led by a tugboat, called "Floating Island, will be traveling up and down the Hudson and East rivers
The island, led by its 45-foot-long tugboat, will be traveling in a U-shaped pattern around Manhattan from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. every day, and should be visible from many points around the city. It is expected to be in the area of Pier 46, around Charles Street in Manhattan, Monday through Friday from 4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.
The project makes its debut on Saturday, and can be seen through Sept. 25.
