House Majority Leader Tom DeLay Indicted
WASHINGTON -- A Texas grand jury has indicted House Majority and Republican party Leader Tom DeLay over election campaign financing, his lawyer said.
Today's indictment could force Representative Tom DeLay to step down as House majority leader.
Congressional sources say House Speaker Dennis Hastert will recommend Rep. David Dreier of California step into indicted leader Tom DeLay's duties.
