Feds Cast More Doubt On Alert For NYC Subways.
Though federal officials say there is no corrobation at this point, the City of New York still says the subway bombing threat that caused New Yorkers to be even more vigilant than usual was credible. However, in hopes of making it look like the NYPD and Department of Homeland Security are on the same page, the DHS has said that the Mayor acted prudently in warning New Yorkers. Over the weekend.

i understand that big cities in general are unhappy with the level of cooperation they're getting from the feds & they're trying to do their own thing. the feds on the other hand, feel that the city by going public with these alerts, may compromise intel sources.
