Mohawk Tribal Council Unanimous On A Casino At Monticello Raceway

Monticello, NY - The St. Regis Mohawk Tribe of New York has sent a letter to Secretary of the Interior Gale Norton declaring that the full Tribal Council - including all three Chiefs and three Sub-Chiefs - has come together to support a casino to be built at Monticello Raceway. While a binding majority of the Tribe's leadership had previously committed to supporting such a casino, this move strengthens the resolve of the Mohawks and now makes crystal clear the unanimous Tribal backing to finalize the St. Regis Mohawk Casino at Monticello Raceway.
