Staten Island - Jewish Organizations Are Collecting Potatoes For Holiday Potato Latkes Food Drive

The Jewish Organizations of Staten Island is conducting a Potato Latkes Drive to feed hungry families in the borough.
The goal is to collect 2,000 pounds of potatoes, in five-pound bags, by Dec. 16. The potatoes and food baskets will be distributed before Hanukkah, which begins Dec. 25, so that every home can have traditional potato latkes for the holidays.
Potatoes can be dropped off at Staten Island synagogues and all Hebrew School students are being asked to bring potatoes with them to class.
