Jerusalen - Orthodox Jews Use Posters As Salvos On Secular Society
Jerusalen - The fiery posters with bold black letters fairly shout from the walls of Mea Shearim. "Watching movies is prohibited," declares a sign plastered on a wall. "These clothes are forbidden!!!" reads another.
In vivid language, the posters exhort the faithful to beware of temptations on the streets, admonish women to dress modestly, announce demonstrations and launch broadsides at Orthodox leaders deemed to be cooperating with Israel's secular establishment.
