Monticello - Raceway Off Nearly $4M

Monticello - Monticello Raceway has dropped in income by almost $4 million compared with last year, total wagers dropped from $6.14 million this time last year to $2.22 million this year, according to track figures.
That adds up to a huge hit for both the track and its horsemen, who split any profits 50/50, all this because of some changes they did due to a contract dispute between them.
Still, horsemen insist the move is necessary to force the track's management back to the table to resolve the 18-month dispute between the two sides.
