NYPD Cop That Shot Another Officer Is From Orange County
New York City Police Officer Alfredo Toro, who shot a gunman in the Bronx Saturday morning, who turned out to be another cop, is an Orange County resident.
Toro, a 20-year veteran of the police department is a Washingtonville resident and remains secluded at home.
He shot the man who did not listen to his orders to drop his weapon when he confronted him outside a hamburger store.
Off-duty Officer Eric Hernandez of White Plains was shot three times by Toro who was unaware that Hernandez was also a cop.
