I thinks it's absurd that the man running to be New York State's chief law enforcment official has his picture taken at a small, private reception reception with Gershon Tannenbaum, a convicted felon who did time in a federal prison and whose qualifications to be a "rabbi" stump anyone who knows him.
Noe is not a religous leader. Nor is Tannenbaum. He's a disgrace to the rabbinate and the Jewish community (as an officer of teh Chabad/Hecht-controlled "Rabbinical Alliance of America" (which was, until about 25 years ago, a reasonably legitimate organization), a columnist for his friend, Yaakov Klass's Jewish Press, and a "rabbi" of a shul where less than a minyan of mispalelim know what a Shulchan Aruch is.

See the NY Times archives for 4-5 stories from the 1970's re his swindling activities.
See the Federal Bureau of Prisons re his release from jail a few years ago.
