Ramapo, NY - Preschool Investigated

Ramapo, NY - A state investigation is under way into the operation of a preschool program in a trailer at a yeshiva construction site on Grandview Avenue.

Mosdos Chofetz Chaim, which is building a school as well as apartments for adult students and their children on the property, already has been cited by the town for using the trailer for a preschool program without a site plan and certificate of occupancy. It's the yeshiva's position that it ran a town-approved preschool on the property in a different structure and that it had simply transferred the use to the trailer after construction began.
The preschool was permitted to continue operating, pending the review of the zoning board May 4.
