Brooklyn, NY - One Satmar Spritzer Surrenders

Williamsburg, Brooklyn, NY - One man who was caught on videotape spraying a member of a rival faction in the face with a fire extinguisher and breaking his nose, has surrendered to police in Brooklyn on charges stemming from the Satmar spritzing and brawl incident on Oct. 25.

Chaim Roth, 38, and his father Meir, 60, who want Rabbi Zalmen Teitelbaum to succed his father, Grand Rabbi Moses Teitelbaum, said that they were attacked without provocation by Moses Werthimer.
We came in the morning to the synagogue to pray before anybody, they said, and Werthimer they claim, broke down the door, jumped on him, punched and sprayed him full in the face.

But supperters of Werthimer claim he grabbed the extinguisher to take it away from Roth.
