Lakewood, NJ - Suspect In Abduction Not The Same Guy Terrorizing Women In Borough Park
Lakewood, NJ - Jacob Cohen, the owner of a pizza store in the shopping center where a 20-year-old female was abducted Sunday night, said he saw a green Jeep Cherokee in the parking lot behind the Trim Gym at 8:15 that night. He said the man appeared nervous. “He was definitely waiting for something," Cohen said. "I didn't think anything of it," until 11:30 when he heard someone was missing, that's when he called police with the description of the SUV.
But Cohen said the guy he saw Sunday didn't look exactly like the sketch police have released of a suspect with no hair and a goatee. “His hair was much longer,” Cohen said.
Police are now confident the Lakewood suspect is not the guy terrorizing women in the Jewish Orthodox community in Borough Park Brooklyn, NY. They said the suspects do not look alike. “The cases in New York, the victims were younger,” Capt. Robert Lawsen said.
Police said they've received several tips from the community and have two substantial leads that they believe could lead to an arrest.
