Ramapo, NY - Developer Pleads Not Guilty
Ramapo, NY - The developer for Mosdos Chofetz Chaim pleaded not guilty in Ramapo Justice Court on charges of running a preschool out of a trailer on the construction site of a yeshiva on Grandview Avenue. The attorney Steve Barry, entered the plea on behalf of his client, who was not present for his arraignment before Judge Sam Colman.
The town cited the developer for operating without a site plan and a certificate of occupancy. The town's zoning board rejected the developer's appeal last week.
Deputy Town Attorney Meryl Troodler, who is prosecuting the case, said if the developer could face a $5,000 fine on each of the six counts if found guilty.
