The officer (a woman) did not refuse to give her badge number. She just threatened that anyone who came close would also get arrested.

well she probably was arrested because she had a suspended license?

1. There were no Chaverim or Shomrim there during the arrest. They did not have to "calm the crowd" (about 9 people) becuase the "crowd" did not become unruly at all.
2. The claimd reason for arresting the woman was that she alledgedly threatened the office that she would "run her over" if she gave her a ticket.

All the frum people think they can do what they want. I'm frum and not anti semitic but say it they way I see it. People especially in our community are driving with a terrible attitude. Don't double park and you WON'T get a ticket.
Wear a seat belt and DO NOT TALK ON A CELL PHONE WHILE DRIVING or you will have 90% chance of getting a ticket in this city and for the most part deservedly so.

Enforcement along Nostrand, where this incident occurred, has become zero tolerance. Tickets for double parking have been given to people waiting for someone else to pull out of a spot!

100% right, you can't threaten a police officer but to take a woman who doesn't look threatening at all and rough her up saying I have 5 years to retire and make sure you spell my name right in court. according to witnesses at the precinct the officer was acting like she caught a murderer.

i was there...the lady chalenged the officer and then got into her car to drive off. while arrest may have been a bit excessive, it was nevertheless a case of the the officer acting within her rights and the lady acting inappropriately. lets NOT double park and we wont have any issues. we are NOT!!! above the law. funny how we always want the cops there when "someone else" is double parked.... think about it

As an Orthodox cop I find it a shanda for the goyim that this women spoke back to the officer. Its hard enough being a Jewish cop but now I'm going to have to hear how the Jews get preferential treatment. Lets all play nice and abide by the traffic laws.
