The State Human Commission is fighting a vote - if or not to build a $7 million sports complex - that would be held on Shabbos.
The dispute is over, when shabbos ends, according to one politician who is running for Orange County Legislature he claims that he could not participate in the voting process which end at 9:00 P.M. and Motzie Shabbos is at 9:20 - 9:23 P.M., but the towns lawyer submitted copies that shows that the zman is at 8:07 P.M. giving anyone Shomrie Shabbos 53 minutes to vote. also the Town Supervisor point' ed out that absentee ballots are available, he said that he deals with several rabbis, and never heard anything about this.
