Rent Hike For The Division Projects, Has Neighbors Up-In-Arms.
Williamsburg Brooklyn, Tenants of the Colomenty Housing Projects are facing an unbelievable rent increase of fifty percent, but community activist - and proposed representative for the entire jewish community - Issac Abraham says that 50% is to high for an increase, actually 25% is fine and dandy.
But tenants don't agree, they claim that with the wages they are making they can not afford it.
So they called in Public Advocate Betsy Gotbaum who helped them with the elevator problem last week, to help them now again, and she said they she will back them in their fight against the hike.
Meanwhile did the Managem Co. all the repairs on the elevator that was broken for the last few months as reported by VOS IZ NEIAS, and got it back running again, but let's see for how long it lasts, a tenant said.
