Blooming Grove Orange County +Rt 17 W/B Very Serious MVA+ Rout 17 West bound between exits 129 and 130 a serious MVA with a couple of fatalities, Hatzolah on the scene. Rt 17 W/B is closed.

Three DOA's still searching for the 4th. aided a baby.

Tractor/Trailer 1999 freight truck loaded with crushed cars travling east bound J/Knife'd on top of the car a blue 2003 Chevrolet mini-van
NYSP A.I. on location, SP calling for a search and rescue for the infant ejected from the car, multiple agencies on the scene.

Search for child, because infant seat was found, couple didn't have a child.

Funeral soon in Kiryas Yoel MonDroe.

The funeral is ongoing now in Kiryas Yoel MonDroe at the cemetary.
The search for the infant due to a car seat found on the scene, was negative.

Chester – A double fatal accident involving a tractor trailer truck and an S.U.V. occurred just after 2 p.m. today on Route 17 near the westbound exit No. 128, according to preliminary police reports.
While little information was available, police reports said there were two people dead at the scene and another person injured. Traffic in both the east and westbound lanes was stalled for miles.

Chester – A young mother and father and their baby were killed in an accident involving a tractor trailer truck, an S.U.V. and several other vehicles today on Route 17, according to witnesses and preliminary police reports. The accident occurred just after 2 p.m. near westbound exit No. 128. The family, which was en route to the Catskills from Williamsburg, Brooklyn, were Hasidic, according to witnesses.
Police have shut down the highway in both directions and expected to keep it blocked until 8 p.m.
Westbound traffic is blocked at exit No. 130 and exit No. 126 in the eastbound lanes.
The snarl has slowed traffic all along Route 17 and the Thruway. Congestion is especially thick on the Thruway between Harriman and the Tappan Zee Bridge, according to New York State Police.

A number of points:
1) They were on their way to visit a brother who is in jail, and were going to go home for Shabbos.
2) The truck was traveling EAST bound, and crossed the median. They were dragged to a ditch, and the car was smashed to a mere few inches.

Three killed on Quickway
State Police are investigating a two-vehicle crash on Route 17 in the Chester area this afternoon that killed three people.
Troopers said a car with three people traveling westbound on Route 17 "Crossed The Center Median" for an unknown reason and slammed into a tractor-trailer truck. All three occupants in the car were killed, according to police.
