Brooklyn Family Of 15 Survives Rollover Crash On Ramp

ALBANY, N.Y. -- State Police say unsafe speed and an inexperience driver caused an accident near exit 24 of the New York State Thruway.

A family of two adults and 13 children were heading home to Brooklyn from a weekend trip to Montreal when their van took a curve too fast and rolled over on the southbound ramp from the Northway to the Thruway.

The father, who was behind the wheel , was trapped in the van with serious injuries. Rescue crews had to cut the roof off the vehicle to free him, He is still at Albany Med at this time. There is no word on his condition.

The battalion chief of the Albany Fire Department, said that it was amazing that there weren't more serious injuries.

as far as i can tell this is a NY metro krenk. has nothing to do with religion. must be the NY lifestyle that DRIVES people to DRIVE like maniacs. i log many miles in the new england area where you very rarely see jewish drivers let alone heimisha, & you see plenty of maniacs out there. sounds like Schmuck Caller has an ax to grind.

    happen to know the family.

    Everyone is boruch hashem okay

The son (not with the family at the time) told me that his father would require surgery to set some bone injuries, but a full recovery is expected - tehillim can't hurt

The father was NOT behind the wheel - bad reporting - the older daughter was driving

P S The only part of the article that they for sure got correct: "The battalion chief of the Albany Fire Department, said that it was amazing that there weren't more serious injuries." Somebody upstairs was watching.
