Jewish Council of Yonkers renaming and redefining

Yonkers - The Jewish Council of Yonkers will change its name and executive director in 2006, the new name will be the JCY, with the words "Serving Westchester County" appearing on new letterheads.

The change reflects the agency's outreach to municipalities beyond Yonkers. And the falling number of synagogues and Jewish groups in the city of Yonkers has required a redefinition of its mission.
