Airmont Seeks Answers To Gauge Development Impact Of Yeshiva
Airmont - The developers of a yeshiva with student and faculty housing could have answers by St. Patrick's Day, to the environmental questions posed by village planners and residents, said the yeshiva's attorney.
The village's Planning Board last month approved the range of issues to be addressed by Congregation Michknois Lavier Yakov after a public meeting in October.
Their attorney said many of the issues, including the project's impact on water supplies, drainage and traffic, were not new to engineers planning the development.
Also are they reviewing the project's potential impact on the upper Saddle River, which begins in Rockland. The waterway has been a concern of residents who have photographed sewage overflowing into it.
