Danvers - Vandals Drive Over Gravestones In Old Cemetery
Danvers, Massachusetts - Vandals crashed into about 20 gravestones in an old Jewish cemetery of Congregation Sons of Jacob, off Route 114, toppling and smashing family markers that date back more than a century.
According to Dave McKenna, superintendent of the cemetery complex, the estimated damage is at $10,000 to $15,000.
Congregation Sons of Jacob, is an Orthodox Jewish congregation, and was formed in 1898 in Salem by immigrants from Lithuania, Poland and Russia.

Police say that the damage to the cemetery, was not a hate crime.
