Leader of World Jewish Congress Is Barred From Fiscal Role
New York - Attorney General Eliot Spitzer's office found that the leader of the World Jewish Congress, Israel Singer, violated his fiduciary responsibilities and barred him and a former executive from any financial role in the organization, according to a settlement disclosed.
The Attorney general's office also identified shortcomings in the organization's financial controls, record keeping and fund-raising, but said it found no evidence of criminal wrongdoing.
