On Friday afternoon an elderly woman was struck by a mini van that was reversing the wrong way up a block. This incident took place on Brooklyn Ave. between Empire Blvd. and Sterling St. apparently the driver of the minivan was backing up Brooklyn Ave. towards Empire and struck the woman injuring her.
Hatzalah responded and took the Elderly Woman to Kings County Hospital with various injuries.
Unfortunately this is not an uncommon occurrence in which drives can be seen backing up down a block ‘to save some time’ in which they are endangering all of their surroundings. So Drivers, please take this to heart and please stop this!
