Manhattan, NY +Large Gas Smell+ FDNY were searching and evacuating the area around Hanover Square and Peral Street for multiple reports around the area for a large gas odor, command post has been set up.

FD reporting now, after all searches the smell is coming from the Duke Energy Plant in Linden NJ, the odor apparently travelled over the water to lower Manhattan.

Situation is undor control now.
