Jerusalem, Israel - Edison Theater Apartments For Satmar Chasidum, Under Construction

Jerusalem, Israel - The old downtown Edison theater, which has stood vacant and abandoned for many years, is now being renovated. The outside could not be touched, in accordance with the preservation of historic buildings. The inside, however, they will turn into an 8-floor building of 62 apartments for families of the Satmar Chasidum. Some will be purchased by wealthy families from abroad, and others will be acquired on a "key money" basis by families in Israel.
