New York, NY - Mayor Asks CCRB To Investigate The Chief of NYPD And Cops In Borough Park
New York, NY - New York City's mayor Bloomberg said that he asked the Civilian Complaint Review Board (CCRB) to look at allegations of what Chief Esposito said as well as if the arresting officer used inappropriate language during a riot tuesday night in Borough Park, Brooklyn, NY.
The 75-year-old Arthur Schick, whose arrest by police for using a cell phone while driving sparked the riot, says an officer used the N-word. In addition, Chief of Department Joseph Esposito, admits to using inappropriate language during the chaos, but says he never used derogatory terms singling out Jews.
Councilman Simcha Felder, who represents Boro Park and was there during the riot says Esposito did indeed use a vulgarity in describing Jews.
