Ashdod, Israel - Police Have Suspect In The Abduction Body of Charedi Infant From Cemetery

Ashdod, Israel - Police were investigating a suspicion that the body of an ultra-Orthodox one-year-old baby abducted Sunday from Ashdod cemetery was secretly buried in the Jerusalem area.

It is believed that the body was snatched from the purification room at the cemetery by ultra-Orthodox protesters who spent the day rioting over a court decision to run DNA tests on the baby's body as reported on VOS IZ NEIAS.
Police detained a suspect in the abduction, a 53-year-old resident of Ashdod, it is believed that he has been involved in the body's abduction.

Members of Ashdod's ultra-Orthodox community are assisting police in their investigation. They claim they had no knowledge that a plot to abduct the body was being prepared while they negotiated with police to resolve the crisis.
