Bnei Brak, Israel - Man Seriously Burned At Lag Ba'omer Bonfire
Bnei Brak, Israel - A 20-year-old Yeshiva Bochur was seriously burned and received 3rd degree burns to 70% of his body Monday after pouring gasoline on a bonfire in Bnei Brak during Lag Ba'omer festivities. The man, who attended a fire ceremony of Lag Ba'omer, was burned when his clothes caught on fire as he poured the flammable substance.
Paramedics evacuated the man to Sheba Medical Center in Tel Hashomer, where he is in serious condition.
Some 150,000 on Monday attended the celebrations at Rabbi Akiva's tomb in Tverya, where a large feast is held traditionally.
