Freehold, NJ - Judge Eases Restrictions On Most Of Dwek's Properties

Freehold, NJ - The Superior Court judge overseeing the civil case against Solomon Dwek eased restrictions on most of his properties.

In issuing the order, Superior Court Judge Alexander D. Lehrer, here, said he wanted the management of the various rentals and commercial properties to continue as normal so that mortgages can be paid, lawns can be cut and rents collected.

On May 3, Lehrer froze all of Dwek's assets, estimated to be worth more than $300 million and covering more than 256 parcels in New Jersey and other states, after PNC Bank accused Dwek of defrauding it of $20 million.

In his ruling, Lehrer ordered that the 10 properties claimed by Dwek's uncle, Joseph Dwek, 54 of Brooklyn, should remain frozen until a later hearing. And he said, that he hopes that the entire civil case "is done by Labor Day.'' Donald Lomurro, who is overseeing the claims against Dwek, told the judge he is more optimistic. "I'm hoping for Independence Day,'' Lomurro said.
