Hard Lox Café vs Hard Rock Café

Asheville, NC - Congregation Bais HaTephila, which has held a Jewish food festival for the past three years, has agreed to change the name from Hard Lox Café to HardLox: Asheville’s Jewish Food and Heritage Festival. The change was made in response to a cease and desist order from Hard Rock Café.

“The entire situation was handled very amicably between Congregation Bais HaTephila and Hard Rock Café,” a spokesperson said. “I think the new title is more appropriate because this really is Asheville’s festival. It works out well for us.”
