If You Dropped A Deposit Over The Holiday Weekend In The Key Bank Of Newburg, Double Check If They Got It
Newburgh, NY - In the wee hours of the morning, some robbers didn't just steal some cash from the Key Bank in Newburg, they took the whole night deposit receptacle straight out of the wall.
The theft was reported at about 5:40 a.m. today. Officers came and found the receptacle in a wooded area near the bank, with numerous deposit bags missing. It’s unknown how much cash was taken.
The bank’s alarm was tripped at 12:30 a.m. and again at 1:30 a.m., but police were not notified, they said.
Anyone with any information is asked to call Det. William Leonick of the Newburg Police Department.
