Kerhonkson, NY - Wildfire Continues To Burn
Kerhonkson, NY - Firefighting crews continue to battle the wildfire at the Catskill State Forest today that was expected to consume more than 1,000 acres of state park land as reports come in that one firefighter may have suffered a heart attack.
State forest rangers and local firefighters from across Ulster County continue to make a ground assault.
Shortly before 1 p.m. a firefighter was being removed from a mountain near Cherrytown Road in Accord because he may have suffered a heart attack. Fire officials have yet to return our calls to confirm his situation and the progress in fighting the fire, which broke out last Sunday.
