Staten Island, NY - Congregation Ahavas Yisroel in Tottenville will sponsor a blood drive on Sunday from 11 a.m. until 4:30 p.m.
A yard sale, featuring a kosher barbecue, will take place from 9 a.m. until 4:30 p.m.

Congregation Ahavas Yisroel is their name. Where is your ahavas Yisroel?
They are helping their fellow jews out with the blood drive while your judging their standard of kashrus. The same way you think their crazy they think we are too.

As the first anonymous, I would like to clarify: I never called them crazy, nor did I say anything nasty about them. I noted only that it is a Conservative temple. There are those of us who would not enter such a house of worship, even though we love our fellow Jews.
By the way, I'm not sure in what way they're "helping their fellow jews." They are helping their fellow humans, which is very nice and commendable, of course.
