South Fallsburg, NY - Sale on Raleigh Hotel Pending
Sullivan County, South Fallsburg, NY - Sale on the Raleigh hotel is still pending
Two Hasidic groups are still vying to buy the 320-room Raleigh Hotel in South Fallsburg, the front-runner remains a group affiliated with the Bobov sect based in Borough Park, Brooklyn.
Bobov runs a camp across the road from the hotel. The final purchase could be two or more months away, sources close to the negotiations say.

The latest twist in the RALEIGH: the owners gave today a statement that Mr. Aron Weltz of U.T.A. (Satmar) of Boro Park is the sucessful bidder on the Hotel, they plan to use it for a Boys camp.

I'll have no choice, but to agree with anon @ 10:00, cuz you can't get it straight here, is there a contract or "YES"? how can Bully Weltz come in to the picture, would there be a contract?? we'll have to come down, to this again, "red tzim zach!!"
Ps. the bridge's still "for sale"

The owners can negotiate with another buyer even if there is already a contract in place. Most contracts allow either party to back out for a financial penalty. It may be that the amount the later buyer is giving is more than enough to cover the penalty.
