Argentina - Bomb Threats Against The Main Jewish Center

Argentina - Bomb threats were phoned in to police headquarters against the AMIA building, which houses Argentina’s principal Jewish organizations. Victor Garelik, a spokesman, confirmed the threats and said a thorough search was made of the building, though it wasn’t evacuated.

A bomb destroyed the AMIA building in July 1994, killing 85 people and wounding hundreds more. The rebuilt facility is enclosed and more secure.
