Boston MA - A group of Jewish leaders are working to settle a bitter dispute over a new mosque in Boston. Work on the massive mosque has stopped amid allegations that Islamic extremists are behind its construction, so they've sued several individuals including Jewish leaders, denying any terrorists sympathies

The dispute has severely strained relations between area Jews and Muslims.

A 40-member panel has spoken to both sides, fearing acrimony over the case will linger long after any court battle.

Lawyers for both sides said they welcomed the reconciliation attempt. But they said the facts are on their side and they're willing to continue to court.
