New York, NY - Tunnel Terror Plot Foiled

New York, NY - The FBI has uncovered a serious plot by jihadists to bomb the Holland Tunnel with high explosives, in hopes of causing a torrent of water to drown the Financial District of lower Manhattan.

Counterterrorism officials say, the "lone wolf" terror plot allegedly got a pledge of financial and tactical support from Jordanian associates of top terrorist Abu Musab al-Zarqawi before he was killed in Iraq, but it's not clear, if any cash or assistance was delivered.
One suspect has been arrested in Lebanon, but the planning was in its initial phases and mostly overseas. Officials do not believe there are links to plotters or operatives inside the United States.
