Boisbriand, Quebec, Canada - Fire Set Outside Home Being Investigated

Boisbriand, Quebec, Canada - Police are investigating a fire set outside the home of a member of the town’s Chasidic community.

Chaim Mermelstein, owner of a duplex on Beth Halevy St. in the town just across the Mille Iles River from Laval, notifued the Boisbriand Police Department after he discovered the charred remains of a paint canister filled with flammable material outside his building’s basement.
"It’s too early to say that it’s linked to a dispute, or whether it’s a bad joke, etc.," said Eric Fournier, a detective with the Therese de Blainville intermunicipal police.
