Bronx, NY +Retirement Home Evacuated+ For the second time this week power losses forced resident of the Atria Riverdale Retirement Home to evacuate.
The 12 story nursing home building, located on the Henry Hudson Parkway at 238th Street and Johnson Avenue, had to be evacuated to the next door synagogue after it's power was reduced leaving more than 150 elderly residents without air conditioning, NYPD of the 50th Pct, O.E.M. And Con-Ed were on the scene.

yes, if there are members avail, it would be appropriate to cover this. But FDNY had this covered well, why butt in?

they transported 15 critical JEWISH pt's. I dont know about you but I would rather see a jewish tech then a non jewish one, and if fdny is doing such a great job why do we need hatzolah at alll?

hmmm....yes, sometimes Hatzoloh is required.. but if teh city is there doing its job, why spend time s and $$, if not needed?
This board is full of ppl that constantly don't understand why Hatzoloh treats non-Jewish patients, when there is sometimes clearly a need to do so. But no one can understand why Hatzoloh doesn't need to treat EVERY Jewish patient?
