London - High Court Dismisses Muslim Group Case
London - A High Court Judge has dismissed a case brought by a Muslim organisation who accused the British Foreign Office of knowingly assisting “acts of terrorism by Israel” in its campaign against Hizbollah in southern Lebanon.
The Islamic Human Rights Commission (IHRC), a London based Muslim advocacy organisation, said the government “aided and abetted” violations of international humanitarian law and crimes against the Geneva Convention by allowing US arms flights to Israel to use UK airports.
The IHRC sought a judicial review over what it says are “crimes against the Geneva Convention” and accused the government of “grave and serious violations of international humanitarian law”.
The judge at London’s High Court dismissed the plea by the IHRC for permission to seek a judicial review and an injunction against the government.
