Parramatta, Australian - Sydney Synagogue Attacked Again
Parramatta, Australian - A Sydney synagogue has been damaged again in the latest of a string of anti-semitic attacks within weeks.
New South Wales Jewish Board of Deputies chief executive Vic Alhadeff said the front door of the Parramatta Synagogue was damaged by blocks of cement hurled at it in this latest overnight attack.
The incident comes just weeks after projectiles were thrown at the synagogue's roof and blocks of concrete were thrown at two cars.
In another incident two weeks ago, an attempt was made to set alight a Jewish youth movement centre at Bondi.
Mr Alhadeff condemned the escalating numbers of anti-semitic attacks as "a deplorable violation of the right of Jewish Australians to be Jewish". "Such conduct has no place in our society and is condemned in the strongest possible terms," he said.
