A total of 74 sites are down affecting coverage in the Flushing, Bayside, Ozone Park, Woodhaven, Cambria Heights, Rosedale, Howard Beach, East Holbrook, Ronkonkoma, Queens, Whitestone, Jamaica, Mastic Beach, Brooklyn, Arverne, Sunnyside, Valley Stream, Elmont, Amityville, Long Island City, Hempstead, Lawrence, Elmhurst, Bayshore, Patchogue, Hampton, Far Rockway, Terryville, Riverhead, Selden, Woodside, St. Albans, Forest Hills, Amagansett, Corona and New York, NY.
Engineers are doing there invastigation.

NEW YORK - New York police reported a major outage of cellular phone service in the borough of Queens on Thursday.
"It's just an FYI. It has nothing to do with anything else. It's not criminal," a police spokesman said.
Two of New York's major airports — JFK and LaGuardia — are in the borough of Queens. Airport security was intensified after British police said they had foiled a plot to blow up several aircraft flying between Britain and the United States.
