Spring Glen, NY - Despite Sale, Homowack to Continue Operating "For Now"

Spring Glen, NY - Homowack Hotel has been sold to a group affiliated with the Chasidic group of Skver, located in New Square NY.  

But the hotel does not face imminent closure, says Sam Ash of the Homowack. In fact, said Ash, the hotel is preparing a number of changes to cater to an even broader spectrum of kosher observing Jews. Significantly, the Homowack name will be relegated to history as the resort will be known as the "Spring Mountain Resort."
Irving Fruchter, the Homowack's most recent general manager, will return to manage the resort. The hotel is also upgrading its infrastructure, including its foodservice (which will continue to be under the kosher supervision of the Orthodox Union.
