Manhattan, NY +Small Plane Crash Into Building+ A small plane has crashed into the upper portion of a 50 story residrntial building at 524 East 72nd Street and York near the FDR Drive, with debris falling from the building down to the street, very heavy fire fully involved on 2-3 of the upper floors. All services to respond to the scene.

Fire Department calling for a 2nd Alarm.

Reports of numerous people trapped on the top floors of the building, level one mobilization has been called, all units to respond with caution due to debris coming off the building

Workers are trapped on the roof of the bldg, ESU setting up the airbag, no injuries reported inside the bldg after primary searches, two on board the aircraft are DOA

FBI says crash dosnt appear to be terrorist related.

Aircraft fighter jets have now been launched as a precaution into the NYC area.
East River being checked for plane remains.

FDR Drive, Triborough Bridge and the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel inbound are all shut down, just open for emergency vehicles. Also numerous streets and avenues around the area are shut down, expect major delays.

In addition to the two DOA's from the plane EMS reporting that 11 firefighters are being treated.

Officials say, that there were two people aboard the plane that crashed into the high-rise apartment building the owner of the plane and a flight instructor.
