Monsey, NY - Teens Arrested for Mischief and Attempt Robbery
Monsey, NY - Police arrested a 17-year-old boy with a paintball gun on an attempted robbery charge.
One Spring Valley teenager was one of four youths driving around Monsey and Chestnut Ridge firing air and paint ball guns at people, before Halloween. The other teenager branched off into a robbery on Maple Leaf Road, Detective Sgt. John Lynch said. The man robbed was unharmed.
The teen was charged with first-degree attempted robbery, third-degree menacing and second-degree reckless endangerment, Lynch said.
Ramapo Justice Arnold Etelson sealed the youth's name during an arraignment. The youth was released after posting $10,000 bail pending a Justice Court hearing on Thursday. Police continued to investigate random paintball shootings. Anyone with information can call the Ramapo Police Department.
