Fire Destroys Home Under Construction In Chestnut Ridge Yesterday
Flames destroyed a house early at 6:52 a.m. yesterday morning that was under construction on a dead-end street in Chestnut Ridge.
The 1,800-square-foot two-story Colonial home at 16 Kennedy Parkway, was all from wood and was 60 to 65 percent complete.
The home was owned by Corey Weiss, who knocked down an old house on the property and build the new one.
The fire is being investigated because the fire department doesn't know the origin or why the fire started.
Only the chimney and foundation are all that was left.
