Boston,MA -- Once-in-a-lifetime a Torah is buried by its students
WEST ROXBURY – As rain threatened the cloudy morning, 90 students from Rashi School in Newton arrived by bus at the Centre Street Cemetery to attend the burial of a Torah.
Earlier this summer, a flood at Rashi School destroyed one of the school’s two Torahs. Once a Torah is declared irreparable, Jewish law mandates that it must be buried.
