Judge Declared Mistrial In Junior Gotti Case

A jury found John A. "Junior" Gotti not guilty of conspiracy to commit securities fraud today, but said it was deadlocked on other, more serious charges against him, including an allegation that he plotted the kidnapping of a talk radio host.

Judge Shira Scheindlin said, ``The man is entitled to bail.'' And she also signaled she would enter a not guilty verdict on the most serious racketeering charge - the alleged plot to kidnap Curtis Sliwa, a WABC-AM host and founder of the Guardian Angels crime-fighting group.
